MEN IN DENIM
Men in Denim – is a very special stencil series of artist portraits that Emess sprayed and etched out on dark denim using bleach. Just like the angular portraits, whose stencils were gruffly axed with a side cutter, the denim fabric also refers to the origin of the stencil from the craft and working milleu – among the depicted famous art personalities of recent times such as Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons or Takeshi Murakami as well as all-time legends from old Europe such as Piet Mondrian, M.C.Escher or Vincent Van Gogh.
