BROKE TO THE BONE
Refugees from North Africa sell illegal brand fakes from Gucci and Co. while Balenciaga sells the luxury version of the EAST-WEST SHOPPER BAG for thousands of euros in the shop window. Today, high-end and low-end are in direct interaction with each other, boundaries are blurred – life vests and refugee bags become fashion chic while refugees often don’t even save their lives by crossing the floating border to Europe in order to sell brand trash to the white trash generation. Broke to the bone is the proverbial meaning here.
